Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-17
These terms govern your use of Teachify. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use Teachify.
1. The service
Teachify is a software-as-a-service product that helps independent tutors manage their students, lesson balances, and meeting links. We provide the tools; you decide what to record and how to charge your students. We are not a payment processor and we do not collect or hold money on your or your students' behalf.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old (or the legal age of majority in your country) to create a tutor account. You are responsible for the credentials of your account and for any activity that happens under it. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password and enable two-factor authentication from Settings - Security.
3. Student accounts
A tutor may invite a student to a student-side cabinet by email. By inviting a student you confirm you have a legitimate teaching relationship with that person and the right to contact them. The student cabinet is a personal account belonging to the invited person; the tutor cannot log into it.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of any data you enter into Teachify - student names, notes, balances, meeting URLs, and so on. You grant us a limited license to store and display this data solely as needed to provide the service to you. We will not use it for anything else.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Teachify to:
- Store data about people who have not authorized you to (this is also a legal requirement under data protection law in most jurisdictions).
- Send unsolicited or abusive communication through our invitation emails.
- Attempt to access another tutor's data, reverse-engineer our service, or interfere with its operation.
- Use Teachify for any activity that is illegal in your or our jurisdiction.
6. Third-party services
If you connect Google Meet or Zoom we act on your behalf within the scopes you grant. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms (Google Terms of Service, Zoom Terms of Service). We are not responsible for outages, scope changes, or policy decisions made by those providers.
7. Disclaimer
Teachify is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do our best to keep it running, secure, and useful, but we do not guarantee that it will be free of bugs or interruptions. The data you record is yours - we strongly recommend you export anything you cannot afford to lose. We disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teachify and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded entirely, it is limited to the fees you have paid us in the last 12 months (currently zero, while Teachify is free).
9. Termination
You can stop using Teachify and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without reference to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Kyiv, Ukraine.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. The "Last updated" date will change and, for material updates, we will notify you by email. If you keep using Teachify after a change you accept the updated terms.
